Supported social media platforms
Screenbird supports displaying content from:
- Instagram: Posts, feeds, hashtags, stories
- Facebook: Page feeds, posts
- LinkedIn: Company posts, feed
- X: Tweets, hashtags
- YouTube: Videos, channels, playlists
- TikTok: Videos, creators, hashtags
Connect your social media account
- Go to Integrations in the sidebar
- Click on Connect Instagram
- You will be redirected to Instagram
- Log in with your account and grant Screenbird access
- You will be redirected back to Screenbird
Your Instagram account is now connected.
- Go to Integrations
- Click on Connect Facebook
- Log in and grant Screenbird access to your page
- You will be redirected back to Screenbird
Your Facebook account is now connected.
- Go to Integrations
- Click on Connect LinkedIn
- Log in and grant Screenbird access
- You will be redirected back to Screenbird
Your LinkedIn account is now connected.
X
- Go to Integrations
- Click on Connect X
- Log in and grant Screenbird access
- You will be redirected back to Screenbird
Your X account is now connected.
Add social media content
Instagram feed
- Go to Content in the sidebar
- Click on Add app
- Search for Instagram
- Select Feed or Hashtag
- Configure:
- Account: Select your Instagram account
- Display type: Feed, hashtag, or stories
- Refresh rate: How often to update
- Grid layout: 1, 2, 3, or 4 columns
- Click Add
Facebook page feed
- Go to Content
- Click on Add app
- Search for Facebook
- Select your Facebook page
- Configure:
- Display type: Latest posts
- Number of posts: How many posts to show
- Refresh rate: How often to update
- Click Add
LinkedIn posts
- Go to Content
- Click on Add app
- Search for LinkedIn
- Select your company page
- Configure:
- Display type: Company feed or specific posts
- Refresh rate: How often to update
- Click Add
X feed
- Go to Content
- Click on Add app
- Search for X
- Select user or hashtag to display
- Configure:
- Display type: Latest tweets or hashtag
- Refresh rate: How often to update
- Click Add
YouTube
- Go to Content
- Click on Add app
- Search for YouTube
- Select channel, playlist, or video
- Configure:
- Display type: Video list or embedded player
- Auto-play: Enable to automatically play videos
- Click Add

Content moderation
- Monitor comments on your social posts
- Respond to customer inquiries promptly
- Remove inappropriate comments before displaying
Visual design
- Use high-quality images for maximum impact
- Keep text short and easy to read from a distance
- Use consistent branding across posts
- Post during peak business hours
Update frequency
- Instagram: Refresh every 30-60 minutes
- Facebook: Refresh every 60 minutes
- LinkedIn: Refresh every 2-4 hours
- X: Refresh every 15-30 minutes
- YouTube: Refresh as needed
Display settings
- Use high-contrast colors for visibility
- Avoid busy backgrounds
- Keep font sizes large (minimum 24pt)
- Test on your actual screen before deploying
Troubleshooting
Social media content won't load
- Check that your account is still connected
- Verify that the account has public content to display
- Check internet connection
- Refresh the content or restart the player
Posts show incorrect content or old posts
- Adjust the refresh rate in the settings
- Verify that your social media account is active
- Check for content filters or restrictions
Permission denied or authentication error
- Reconnect your social media account
- Grant Screenbird new permissions
- Check if your account settings restrict third-party access
I want to hide certain posts
- Make the posts private on your social media account
- Delete posts before they appear on the display
- Use content filters in the app settings
