Disconnect a screen temporarily

If you want to temporarily disconnect a screen from Screenbird without deleting it:

  1. Open the Screenbird Player on the device connected to your screen
  2. Click on the menu (hamburger icon or settings)
  3. Click on Disconnect or Log out
  4. The device will no longer display content from Screenbird

To reconnect:

  1. Open the Screenbird Player
  2. Log in with your email and password
  3. Select the screen from the list
  4. The connection will be restored

Remove a screen permanently

To permanently delete a screen from your Screenbird account:

  1. Go to Screens in the sidebar
  2. Find the screen you want to remove
  3. Click on the screen to open its details
  4. Click on the Settings tab
  5. Scroll down and find the Danger zone section
  6. Click on Delete screen
  7. Confirm the deletion by entering the screen name
  8. Click Delete permanently

The screen has been permanently deleted from your account.

Warning: All schedules and content assigned to this screen will also be deleted. This action cannot be undone.

After removal

After a screen is deleted:

  • The device can no longer connect to Screenbird
  • All schedules assigned to this screen are deleted
  • The screen will no longer appear in your dashboard
  • If you want to use the device again, you will need to create a new screen and connect the device to it

Troubleshooting

I deleted the screen by accident

Unfortunately, deleted screens cannot be recovered. However, your content and playlists are still available. You can:

  1. Create a new screen with the same name
  2. Reconnect the device
  3. Reassign your content and schedules

The device is still trying to connect to the deleted screen

  1. Restart the Screenbird Player application
  2. Clear the browser cache (if using web player)
  3. Log out and log in again
  4. Select a different screen from the list
