Adjusting screen settings

Opening settings

1. Go to Screens in the sidebar.
2. Click the screen you want to adjust.
3. You'll now see the screen panel with all its settings.

Basic settings

• Name - Give your screen a recognizable name (e.g. "Ground floor lobby").
• Current content - Shows which content is permanently linked to this screen. Use Stop to remove that content from the screen.
• Orientation - Choose Landscape or rotate the picture 90, 180 or 270 degrees. If your screen is mounted upright, choose the rotation that matches how it's mounted.
• Timezone - Set the timezone used for schedules on this specific screen.

Default screen and background color

Default screen determines what the screen shows while no content is linked to it. You have two choices:

• Pairing screen - the screen shows the pairing code, just like a new screen.
• Fixed asset - the screen shows a fixed file from your content: an image or a video. Use the button below it to choose the file.

Background color is set separately and always applies. You can choose any color, from black to a color from your brand kit. The player uses this color as a background: behind the default screen, and as bars around content that doesn't fully fill the screen (for example a portrait video on a landscape screen).

Display control

Expand Display Control for everything that controls the screen's picture and sound.

• Screen on/off - Put the screen to sleep or wake it up right away. The picture goes black, and where the TV supports it, the screen actually turns off. This takes effect immediately, without saving. Below the toggle you'll see what the current state means.
• Screen brightness - Adjust the screen's brightness (if supported by the device).
• Audio volume - Set the volume for videos and apps with sound.
• Mute audio - Turn the sound off completely.
• Automatically turn screen on/off - Let the screen turn itself on and off at set times. For each day, choose Off, On or Schedule with a start and end time. Not every TV supports this; test it after saving.

Using an on/off schedule? Then the manual setting is temporary: at the next scheduled transition, the schedule takes over again. Without a schedule, the screen stays asleep until you turn it back on here. In the screens overview, you'll see the status Sleeping for as long as the screen is off.

Advanced

Expand Advanced for less commonly used settings.

• Lock content - Lock the screen to its current content, so nothing can accidentally be sent to it.
• Debug mode - Shows technical information on the screen (useful when troubleshooting).
• Download status - Shows on the screen when new content is being downloaded.
• Offline indicator - Shows a notice on the screen as soon as the connection drops.
• Hide cursor - Hides the mouse cursor, for example on a media player with a mouse or touchpad.

Click Save when you're done. The settings are sent to the screen right away.
