Adjust screen settings

Open screen settings

  1. Go to Screens in the sidebar
  2. Click on the screen you want to modify
  3. Go to the Settings tab

You are now in the screen settings.

Basic settings

Screen name

  1. Find the Screen name field
  2. Edit the name
  3. Click Save

The screen name is used to identify the screen in the dashboard.

Location

  1. Find the Location field
  2. Enter the physical location (e.g., "Reception", "Meeting Room 1", "Lobby")
  3. Click Save

Description

  1. Find the Description field
  2. Add notes about the screen (e.g., "55-inch monitor, 4K resolution")
  3. Click Save

Timezone

  1. Find the Timezone option
  2. Select the timezone for this screen
  3. Click Save

All schedules for this screen will use this timezone. This overrides the company default timezone.

Display settings

Resolution

  1. Find the Resolution option
  2. Select or enter the screen resolution (e.g., 1920x1080, 3840x2160)
  3. Click Save

Orientation

  1. Find the Orientation option
  2. Choose:

- Landscape: Standard horizontal display

- Portrait: Vertical display

  1. Click Save

Brightness

  1. Find the Brightness option
  2. Set brightness level (0-100%)
  3. Click Save

Refresh rate

  1. Find the Refresh rate option
  2. Choose the refresh rate (30 Hz, 60 Hz, 120 Hz, etc.)
  3. Click Save

Default content

  1. Find the Default content option
  2. Click Select content
  3. Choose a video, image, playlist, or app
  4. Click Save

This content will display when no schedule is active.

Power settings

Automatic sleep

  1. Find the Power settings
  2. Enable Automatic sleep
  3. Set when the screen should turn off (e.g., after 30 minutes of inactivity)
  4. Click Save

Schedule power on/off

  1. Find the Power schedule
  2. Set when the screen should automatically turn on and off
  3. Click Save

Network settings

WiFi

  1. Find the WiFi option
  2. Select your WiFi network
  3. Enter the password
  4. Click Save

Static IP

  1. Find the Network settings
  2. Enable Static IP
  3. Enter the IP address, subnet mask, gateway, and DNS
  4. Click Save

Security settings

Screen lock

  1. Find the Screen lock option
  2. Enable to prevent unauthorized screen access
  3. Set a PIN or password
  4. Click Save

Restricted mode

  1. Find the Restricted mode
  2. Enable to limit what users can do on the screen
  3. Click Save

Advanced settings

Pixel Mapping

  1. Find the Pixel Mapping option (for LED displays)
  2. Enable to configure mapping
  3. Click Configure to set up regions
  4. Click Save

HDR support

  1. Find the HDR option
  2. Enable for HDR content support
  3. Click Save

Custom CSS

  1. Find the Custom CSS option
  2. Enter CSS code to customize the display
  3. Click Save

Save your settings

After making any changes:

  1. Click Save at the bottom of the settings panel
  2. Your settings will be saved and applied to the screen
  3. The screen may restart to apply some settings

Reset to defaults

To reset all screen settings to defaults:

  1. Click the Reset button (if available)
  2. Confirm the reset
  3. All custom settings will be reverted

Tips

  • Document your screen settings for future reference
  • Test display settings on the actual screen before deploying
  • Use meaningful location names for easy identification
  • Set appropriate refresh rates for your screen hardware
  • Consider power schedules to save energy
