Create a schedule

You create a schedule from Schedules in the sidebar: click New, choose New schedule, enter a Schedule name and click Save. The schedule then opens straight into the calendar, where you add events: blocks of time with the content that plays during them.

Step 1: create the schedule

  1. Go to Schedules in the sidebar.
  2. Click New and choose New schedule.
  3. Enter a name under Schedule name.
  4. Click Save.

Step 2: add events

  1. Open the schedule.
  2. Drag across a time slot in the calendar, or click New event.
  3. Under Type, choose whether you are scheduling a File or a Playlist.
  4. Under Content, choose exactly which item plays.
  5. Set Start time and End time, or turn on All day.
  6. Under Repeat, choose whether the event repeats.
  7. Click Save.

You can drag existing events around the calendar to move them, and drag their edges to change how long they run.

Step 3: set a default item

Outside the scheduled times, the screen shows whatever you pick under Default item. If you set nothing, the screen stays black between events. See Set a default item.

Step 4: send the schedule to a screen

  1. Open the schedule, or click it in the list.
  2. Choose Send to screen.
  3. Select the screens and click Send.

A schedule can only go to a screen permanently, never temporarily. To show something briefly without touching the schedule, send it temporarily.

Recurring events

Under Repeat you get seven options: Never, Daily, Every weekday (Mon to Fri), Weekly, Biweekly, Monthly and Yearly. With Weekly you click the days the event plays, right below the list. Pick anything other than Never and Ends appears: Never lets the event run forever, On date lets you pick an end date. That end date still counts as a day the event runs. What happens when events overlap

There is no priority field. When two events overlap, the one created last wins. If you want to be sure what plays, keep your events from overlapping.

Frequently asked questions

How many schedules and events can I create?

There is no limit on the number of schedules or events.

Can one schedule run on several screens?

Yes. Just select more than one screen under Send to screen.

Why is my event not playing?

Check that the schedule was sent to the screen, that the screen is online, and that the times match the time zone of the screen. See Screen settings.
