Set default content for a schedule

What is default content?

Default content is the content that displays on your screen when no other schedule is active. This is useful for displaying a logo, message, or app when your screen is not actively showing scheduled content.

Set default content

  1. Go to Screens in the sidebar.
  2. Click on the screen you want to set default content for.
  3. Go to the Settings tab.
  4. Find the Default content option.
  5. Click Select content.
  6. Choose the content or playlist you want to display as default.
  7. Click Save.

The selected content will now display when no schedule is active.

Remove default content

  1. Go to Screens > select your screen > Settings tab.
  2. Find the Default content option.
  3. Click Clear.
  4. Click Save.

The screen will no longer display default content when no schedule is active.

Default playlist

You can also set an entire playlist as default content:

  1. Go to Screens > select your screen > Settings tab.
  2. Find the Default content option.
  3. Click Select content.
  4. Choose a playlist instead of a single item.
  5. Click Save.

The playlist will now play on a loop when no schedule is active.

Examples

  • Display your company logo or brand video when no content is scheduled
  • Show a screensaver or ambient content during off-hours
  • Display a welcome message or announcement
  • Play background music or ambient sounds

Tips

  • Make sure your default content is appropriate for all times of day
  • Keep default content short and non-intrusive
  • Use a simple design or logo to avoid distraction during idle time
