Use your LG Smart TV as a digital signage screen

The native webOS app is still in development and is not in the LG Content Store yet. You can use your LG Smart TV as a Screenbird screen today through the TV's built-in browser.

You do not have to wait for the app. Open the browser on your LG Smart TV, go to player.screenbird.app and pair the screen with your dashboard. Your playlists, schedules and live data start playing straight away, on the TV you already own.

The browser route works on any LG Smart TV with a browser. For screens that run 24/7 we recommend a Google TV Streamer or Fire TV Stick with our native app, which handles restarts and power cycles by itself.

Frequently asked questions

Yes. Use the TV's built-in browser and open player.screenbird.app. You get the same playlists, schedules and apps as on any other screen. Customers are running this setup right now.
It is in development. We are not giving a date, because a store release depends on LG's review process as well as on us.
Mainly unattended operation. A native app restarts by itself after a power cut and survives a TV reboot without help. In the browser you may occasionally need to reopen the page, so for 24/7 screens a media player is the safer choice today.
Yes. LG commercial displays with webOS have a browser too and work the same way.
