No. You can sign in with Microsoft for the full picker experience, or set your file's sharing to a public link and paste that link into the setup form instead. Both are supported.

Not yet. The Excel app currently shows the whole spreadsheet. If picking a specific tab or a cell range like A1:D10 matters for your board, our Google Sheets integration supports that today.

You set it yourself, anywhere from every 1 to 60 minutes; the default is 5. An edit in your spreadsheet shows on screen at the next refresh, so with a 5-minute interval your change is live within 5 minutes.

On modern player platforms, the screen keeps showing the last successfully loaded view through a brief connection drop. It still needs an active connection to actually refresh with new data though, so this is not the same guarantee as Screenbird's offline mode for uploaded videos and images, which plays indefinitely without internet.

Yes. Screenbird has a separate Google Sheets app alongside Excel, with tab and cell-range selection built in.

It works with Excel Online: the file lives in OneDrive or SharePoint under your Microsoft account, or is shared as a public link. No desktop install and no local .xlsx file syncing is involved for the screen itself.
