How to display TikTok on a TV screen

Last updated October 5, 2026

To get TikTok videos onto a TV you can cast them from a phone, use a TikTok app on the TV, or connect your account through digital signage software. Casting stops when the phone leaves the room, and a TV app is made for someone holding a remote. Signage software plays your own latest videos on the screen all day, one after another, and picks up new ones on its own.

With Screenbird, for example, you connect your TikTok account once, choose a layout with your name, caption and a QR code, and push it to any paired screen. Once your screen is paired, the setup takes about two minutes.

The end result, live on your TV.

What you need

  • A TV or monitor with an HDMI input
  • A media player: Amazon's Signage Stick and the Fire TV Stick 4K are the simplest plug-and-play options
  • A Screenbird account (free trial, then $18 per screen per month)
  • Your TikTok login, or the links to the public videos you want to show

Can't I just cast it?

There are quicker ways to get TikTok onto a TV, but they all break down for a screen that has to run on its own:

  • Casting from a phone is fine for a moment, but the phone has to stay nearby and on. Take it away and the screen goes dark.

  • A TikTok app on the TV is made for watching with a remote in hand, not for a screen that plays your own videos all day without anyone touching it.

  • Downloading your videos works once, but every new video means saving and uploading it again, and the screen soon falls behind your account.

Digital signage software exists for exactly this job: it connects your account once, plays your latest videos in turn, adds new ones by itself and lets you manage the screen from anywhere. That is the route in the steps below.

Questions people ask

The screen fetches new videos at the refresh interval you set, anywhere from 1 to 60 minutes, and lets the current video finish first. Check that the video is public, that the player is online and that the TikTok connection is still active in the app settings.
Only public videos that allow embedding can play, and the link has to be a tiktok.com address (short links work too). A link that doesn't play is skipped, so the other videos keep running.
No. Once it is set up, the screen runs on its own from the paired player. Nothing needs to stay open on your phone or computer.
Yes. Set the number of videos, up to 60, and a maximum age in days. Older videos then drop out at the next refresh.
Yes. Add the TikTok app to a playlist between images, videos and other apps, or give it its own zone with Split Screen.
